Bolton has everything that potential investors need to succeed, a healthy pipeline of talent, excellent infrastructure, strong leadership with a clear masterplan vision and plans for improved digital connectivity. It has a proven track record in working successfully with the private sector to bring about tangible change that generates real social, economic and financial returns.
Deloitte have produced an Investment Prospectus for the town centre which highlights the value of our plans to date and the outcomes we and work we are undertaking showing that the figures stack up on our plans.
We have made a great start in implementing the regeneration plan in the town and beyond; having already attracted over £1 billion of pipeline investment in residential, commercial, retail and leisure spaces and public realm.
We are developing plans for ‘a super connected digital quarter’ as commercial joint venture with a private sector partner. Bolton will be at the heart of the cutting-edge digital community and become a hub for businesses and people to thrive.
Close to the railway station and the Town Centre the 7.3 ha site creates potential for partnering with The University of Bolton and the creation of a high quality digital cluster linked to the digital media sector, including innovative specialisms such as artificial intelligence and e—gaming.
We are on the look-out for partners with a proven track record of delivering large-scale sustainable regeneration schemes providing digital infrastructure.
“Opportunity is in abundance in Bolton. The people, the place, the plans, the ambition, the drive, the innovation, the creativity, it’s all there and we want to work with investors and partners to make that vision a reality.”
Working with Fletcher Cre, there are number of sites that have been identified as development opportunites or land and buildings up for sale or let. The sites range in scale and complexity and more information can be found on www.bolton.gov.uk.
In addition to our vision for the town centre beyond 2030, we have allocated £16m from the £100m town centre strategy fund to progress ambitious plans for our district centres in Farnworth, Little Lever, Westhoughton and Horwich. We’ve also secured government funding, for the Future High Street Fund, Brownfield Land Fund and the Towns Fund, one of which involves up to £25m of new investment in Farnworth high street and district centre.
